Q: Can we check-in early?
A: We cannot guarantee an early check-in. If you think you will be arriving before 4:00PM, please let us know so we can make note of this on your stay. If we are able to grant your request, our front desk staff will call to inform you. If you do not hear from one of our staff members prior to 4:00PM, you may come in at 4:00PM to check in.
Q: Can we make additional payments online or are auto payments available?
A: When booking online a credit card will be taken and processed at the time of booking. To make additional payments or to set up auto payments please call us at 843.588.6699.
Q: What is your cancellation policy?
A: Notice of cancellation must be in writing. Your advance payment is refundable provided that the cancellation is received 60 days or more prior to your arrival date. There is a $100 cancellation fee that will be applied to your refund. Cancellations made 30-60 days prior to arrival will forfeit 50% of the full amount due for the entire reservation. Cancellations made less than 30 days prior to the arrival date will not receive a refund. Refunds are not given for inclement weather, road or airport closings, late arrivals, or early departures. We strongly recommend that you purchase travel insurance during the reservation process.
Q: Do you allow pets?
A: We believe four legged friends are part of the family! We do have select properties that are pet friendly so your furry kids can be part of the vacation too. You can view our pet friendly properties here.
Q: Can we bring a motorcycle, trailer, boat to a property?
A: Due to limited parking available, you cannot bring a motorcycle, trailer or boat. RV’s and campers are not permitted at any property. Select properties will allow golf carts or may have golf carts available to rent.
Q: Where can I park on the island?
A: Paid parking lots are available near many beach access points. Street parking is free. To avoid a ticket, make sure all four tires are not touching the road, you are parked with the flow of traffic, and you are not blocking any driveways or passageways.
Q: Where can I obtain a daily fishing license?
A: Fishing licenses can be purchased daily at the Folly Beach Pier for $5 a day for an adult. Rods and bait are also available to rent or purchase.
Q: What cleaning supplies are provided in my vacation rental when I arrive?
A: You will be provided with a starter kit in your vacation rental when you arrive. It contains a kitchen trash bag, a roll of paper towels, a single use dishwasher pod, liquid dish detergent, a fresh kitchen sponge, one roll of toilet tissue per bathroom and hand soap for the bathrooms. Depending on the size of your rental and party, the starter kit typically lasts for approximately 2-3 days. You can build your own packing list here.
Q: Are there any rules for the beach?
A: Alcoholic beverages are not allowed on the beach. Each alcoholic beverage found will result in a $300 fine. Glass, plastic bags, and styrofoam are not allowed on the beach. Please stay off the dunes to protect the natural surroundings of the island.
Q: How can I get around the island or to other areas of Charleston?
A: Both Uber and Lyft service the Folly Beach area. For transportation on the island, the Folly Trolley is also available. This is a golf cart taxi service for Folly Beach destinations.
